    The rabaska was a big Algonquian bark canoe. The Amerindians used the rabaska to move, go hunting and to trade.

    Adopted by the French and Canadian explorers in the XVIIth century then by the travelers, he allowed colony settlement to be formed everywhere in North America. The rabaska measures approximately 6 meters long and is very wide. He can sit up to 10 rowers. The rabaska has quickly became the boat of the fur traders because of its load capacity.

    Visit of the Sugar Shack

    The discovery of the maple syrup! There are two versions on how the sap of maple was discovered by the Amerindians.

    One’s tell us that it would be the dogs of the Amerindians that would have broken a branch of maple and would have crowded to lick the sap which flowed of the tree. By observing them, the Amerindians decided to taste it. The second version, the most popular, tell us that it would be a squirrel who ran in a tree and broke abruptly a branch and began licking the sap of the tree.     The Lac Blanc Outfitter located in the heart of Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, Quebec, welcomes you to its outdoor activities center all year long.

    It is a shooting game that test your skill to fire with a firearm clay pigeons in stations situated in the forest. You are accompanied by a guide who proceeds to the launch of clay pigeons.

    $30.00 per person for 10 shoots

    $55.00 per person for 25 shoots

    $80.00 per person for 50 shoots

    Included equipment:  Guide, firearm, bullets and clay pigeons

    Duration:  According to the time required

    Minimum:

    - 6 persons for 10 shoots

    - 2 persons for 25 shoots and 50 shoots
